NEMO Science Museum
NEMO Science Museum is a hands-on science museum in Amsterdam. It's aimed at curious minds of all ages, but kids will really get a kick out of it. My wife and I took our son there twice, when he was around 9 and 10 years old, and it kept him busy for hours both times.
The museum sits inside a striking building that looks like it came straight out of a Jules Verne novel. It's huge. There's so much to see and do that you won't run out of things to explore in a single visit. We went twice and could easily go back and still find new stuff.
One thing that really stood out for our son was the laboratory. Staff handed the kids lab coats and gave them clear instructions for conducting experiments. They had to carry out the experiment, observe what happened, and write it all down. He loved it so much he kept doing experiments at home afterward.
Whether your kids are young or a bit older, there's something here for them. And honestly, as an adult I found it just as interesting.
